Holiday rentals and horse riding in the heart of the Camargue
In this 200-hectare Mas de famille typically Camarguais, five outbuildings, each with its own rural history, have been converted into gîtes to welcome you. Each accommodation has its own private outdoor space.
Horses live freely in the pastures all around the Mas and its gîtes, and await you for equestrian activities on site. Children can play in the communal play area in front of the main building.
We always work as a family: the tractor passes in the yard, the horses are worked in the quarry, the children jump on the trampoline... such is the daily life you will witness at Saint Germain, authentic and natural, in all simplicity.

Activities on our farm in the Camargue
At the Mas St Germain gîtes, in Camargue, we practise organic farming that respects the environment: our rice, wheat and meadow fields are grown without pesticides, and we raise horses, Camargue bulls, Merino sheep and a Provence donkey outdoors.
Our gîtes also follow a sustainable approach: eco-friendly products, waste sorting and environmentally-friendly materials, in line with the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
Mas Saint Germain team
At Mas Saint Germain, the story is above all a family one. For six generations, the family has worked to preserve and bring to life the estate in keeping with Camargue traditions.
Pierre, a passionate gardian, set up his Camargue bull farm in 1990 and developed the horse breeding business he had started in 1955. Monique launched the rural tourism business, safeguarding and restoring the traditional buildings of the Mas.
Their children, Laure, Anne and Germain, are now taking over. Germain manages the manade and the cocardier bulls, while Laure plays an active role in working the horses and herds.

A wonderful trip to discover the Camargue on the Mas Saint Germain estate. The programme included horses, wide open spaces, pink flamingos and other varieties of birds, bulls... Laure showed us her environment and the local culture with great passion and generosity [...].

A wonderful place, a haven of tranquillity in the countryside, very close to the Camargue horses, who are very welcoming. We went there just for a pony ride for our 3 year old and had a great time. Great welcome and great service, with the pony on loan for the whole morning.
We took a very pleasant horse ride through the property and along the pond. The horses were very peaceful. The group was split up at certain times to allow the more experienced riders to canter while the others joined us quietly.

We didn't rent a room but went for a horse ride in the grounds around the mas. This is the 3rd year we've done it and it's always so pleasant.
The horses are calm and well trained, and the guide is top-notch, so the ride is suitable for all levels.
Superb horse riding with Magalie, with respect for the horses. It's not a frantic race to collect as many tourists as possible. Here, we take the time to pick the horse up from the pasture, brush and saddle it, then go for a quiet ride before looking after it again and taking it back to the pasture.
Activities around our gîte in the Camargue
You are in the heart of the Camargue Delta, a Regional Nature Park, bordering the Étang du Vaccarès, which is a protected site managed by the Nature Reserve. The rich flora and fauna can be discovered on foot, on horseback or by bike.
