Bicycle rentals

In the Camargue region, cycling is the second best ‘mount’ after horses. Silent and environmentally-friendly, it will peacefully take you along the roads and paths on the banks of the Vaccarès pond and on the dyke along the sea where motorized vehicles are forbidden. The most willing and courageous can cycle round the Vaccarès, a 50-km-long journey, with a stopover at Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.

Here you can consult and download maps for trails through the Camargue on bikes,on foot or by car. You can also conclut it on your welcome folder.

Rate for bicycle rent: 8€ half day, 15€ per day.

Guided tour of our Mas with Monique!

Monique, passionate about the Camargue, takes you to visit the Mas where she lives during a 1-hour ride in a pickup truck. Installed in or at the back of the vehicle, you will admire the unique landscape that the Camargue offers us. Monique will make several stops to explain the workings of organic farming, the evolution of agriculture in the Camargue, bull and horse breeding, bird migrations, etc. Monique adapts her visit and explanations to your interests. You will also be able to taste several edible plants such as the samphire and the reed. Throughout the visit Monique will be happy to answer your questions. Feel free to ask her for a photo stop! When you return to the Mas you will have the opportunity to buy products such as the rice you saw earlier.

The rate for the tour is 15€ per person, 8€ for children.

Hiking in protected areas

A 5-minute drive from the Mas leads to ‘La Capelière’, the headquarters of the Camargue National Natural Reserve. A small museum explains the delta formation and shows the inhabiting fauna and flora. An observation path will then lead you for a 45-minute walk through a peaceful and deep nature. Along this small path and particularly in the evening, you will watch a beautiful sunset over the Vaccarès pond. About 10 km further south lies the Gacholle lighthouse. A 4-km-long hiking trail will take you to Beauduc beach, which is not only a renowned kite surf spot but also a magical wild wetland. Other natural trails start from the Camargue museum (15 km away) and the Ornithological Reserve (25 km).

Here you can consult and download maps for trails through the Camargue on bikes, on foot or by car. You can also conclut it on your welcome folder.
